(1) A green rider class is designed for riders that are just starting to show. They are not for anyone that has shown for more than two years at Tri-County or any other circuit. Changing seats, i.e. Western to Hunt Seat, does not reinstate green rider status.

(2) All "No canter" entrants may NOT cross enter into a class that requires a canter or lope other than Poles, Barrels, and Trail providing they do not canter/lope.

(3) Academy Class horses are used for lessons by a schooling barn on a regular basis.

(4) Pony Class is limited to horses measuring 58" and under.

(5) Leaders for Leadline must be 16 years of age or older.

(6) Starter Rider classes are for the new rider just beginning to ride under saddle but not yet ready to enter the ring alone. The rider must be accompanied by an attendant 16 years of age or older. Starter Riders may not show in any other under saddle class except Leadline.

(7) Trail Class, Hunt Seat/Saddle Seat Equitation Open, and Showmanship 13 & Under must be designated by the rider, either Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat or Western, when they join, if they want the points to accrue to their totals in a particular discipline.

(8) Riders in Hunt Seat or Saddle Seat Walk/Trot Equitation may not show in Hunt Seat / Saddle Seat Equitation Open. Riders in Western Horsemanship Walk/Jog may not show in Western Horsemanship Open. During each equitation/horsemanship class, riders will be called into the ring one at a time to execute their pattern and will exit the ring immediately after completing their pattern. Multiple riders will be allowed to enter these classes with the same horse.

(9) Helmets are strongly recommended but not required.

(10) Helmets are required in Hunter Hack.

All classes are open to all breeds of horses and are to be judged according to their breed’s standards. Gaited horses are allowed and encouraged.

Please refer to the 2008 Tri-County Horse Club Rules and Regulations for a complete listing of show requirements.
